I don't get this modern trend of pitch invasions for winning semi-finals, you've won **** all at this stage. One of this lot or Fulham are gonna look pretty stupid when they don't go up after all that, glad we never did it after the Ipswich/Cardiff semi finals

As good as yesterday's game was, this was the complete reverse...

Sounds like you're going for Villa going up, fm?

I think villa are too proffessional, well drilled, experienced, boring some might say but they can defend, attack is half decent, can see them just nuilfy Fulham and winning 1-0. If they can stop Mitrovic you basically stop Fulham and he even set up the first goal last night

Well, in the final reckoning Boro came up just a bit short and will have to go again next season.I have some understanding how their fans are feeling the evening. My lowest ever moment supporting WHU was that Play off final defeat to Crystal Palace in 2004, an utterly depressing moment, far worse than any relegation. Anyhow, I'll take Villa to shade the final and this won't go down very well with many of you, but John Terry and all his experience, I think will be the difference

Snodgrass put in a real shift last night.

Would still rather see Fulham go up, though.

I think Puff and fmgod are spot on. Villa were extremely organised and didn't give Boro a single goal-scoring chance IIRC. It's boring but effective. Fulham will give chances away they always do, it might come down to who is more clinical in front of goal (which has been Villa the last few months).

Not me, I'm hoping Atletico tear the french ***** a new ****hole - Payet or no Payet.

Impossible to not like Simeone if you ask me. Proper, proper nutter.

Me too. I have always liked Atletico. If I were a Madrileno it would be an absolute no brainer for me which team I would support

No I want OM to win, can;t see it, they can't defend that well and Atheltico are awesome at the back. For some reason followed them for a few years now, Thauvin and Payet and lovely to watch, Sanson in midfield as well is a player.

I’m at the game tonight. I’ll be cheering on the French as:

- I’m surrounded by Marseilles fans

- it would be good to break the Spanish dominance

- my barber is a Marseilles fan....upset with scissors in his hand is not good for my health

I'll be cheering him on. Super exciting player who owes us nothing, given the nature of how we obtained him.

Was hammered for wanting a move widely seen as backwards for his career, having had his 'payday' with us. Now find himself in a European cup final and the opportunity for champions league football, that we could only dream of, having had any slim chance turned over twice by Astra.

Germain should have scored. Super play and weight of pass by Payet. Atletico look like they want to kick lumps out of him!

Not even just watching Payet that is a nostalgia trip back to Bilic's first year.

That ricket leading to a goal 3 seconds later was straight out of the 2015/16 campaign playbook. We must have averaged one of those every second game that season.

Atletico 1 up due to some dodgy defending.

I have to say that it is easier to understand why Payet did a runner from us, the more time that passes. This is his level, not p*****g about flirting with relegation and being fed bulls***.
