And he's English. Gotta be at least £100m now surely? :lol:somerset-hammer wrote:What's Antonio worth in light of the Richarlison bid?
He might not be everyone's cup of tea but he's made more of impact in the PL than the Watford man has, hasn't he?

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 21 days remaining
Richarlison would be managed by Silva again so maybe a premium in that Silva really wants him. At Watford he looked top draw when Silva was there, goals and assists for fun. Also very young (21/22 I think) so tons of upside. I do not see £40-50m as totally outrageous in those circumstances.
Closest we have is Antonio who has injury issues and two very average years behind him. Also now late 20’s - I agree if we want £15m that is light but £20-25m would be very good business.

Hugh's pardon is excellent.
He has been doing that for years. He should be the only one allowed to use it.
There is only one West Ham fan that annoys me and I openly hate and that is West Ham Central.
I say "fan". More like a ****.

Richarlison. Not a single goal or assist since early December 2017.
I don't care who was managing him, that's not the work of any player worth that kind of dollar. Its vastly more likely that opponents figured him out and put a detail on him accordingly, rather than Silva leaving.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 21 days remaining
Watford would have been relegated without Richarlison in their team last season. He was hugely influential for them. He and Doucoure were integral in them ending up just behind us rather than somewhere between Southampton and West Brom.
I can see why they would want £40m-£50m, in the way that we would want something in that range or higher for Arnautovic given how key he was on keeping us afloat last season. That Everton are stupid enough to pay it is their problem.

Fans from other leagues must think the Premier League is a joke when they see Richarlison going for that kind of money.
When you look at English club's results on the pitch and generally the way our clubs get outplayed against "cheaper" opposition in Europe it does make you wonder what's going on.
It's something I find quite shameful.

Yarmolenko will prove to be a steal for the money we paid.
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 21 days remaining
Don’t get how anyone can be surprised by this fee.
For one transfer fees have gone crazy
And also as we all know (or should know by now) fees are set by the clubs selling . If someone wants to buy their player and he is so important to them they will slap a higher price tag. We wussed out with payet.. we wouldn’t let him rot in the reserves so got a rubbish price
Watford clearly better at buisness

Based on Richarlison's proposed fee, Antonio's gotta be £20m/£25m

and Hugill would be worth £15m.. Lets hope that that dents Everton's transfer budget.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 21 days remaining
Arnautovic got more than double the amount of goals Richarlison did last season. The impact each player had in their respective club last season isn’t even remotely comparable. 5 goals last season for Richarlison, 5 goals. He’s certainly got talent but he is miles away from being the finished article and nowhere near a £50 million player imo.
