This is what you said; "they lack the basic decision making ability to play at the top level let alone the top 10". So it was more about decision making and end product/consistency is another one that got thrown about (perhaps not by yourself). All things that both Traore and Arnie have been labelled before. I don't think he's the next Arnautovic but there's a player in there IMO and would be worth buying (and then developing) at the right price.

The funniest thing about that (if it is true) is that we ended up with neither the Sporting player or the PSG player... Classic West Ham...

An owner/manager of a company would have got a secretary/assistant to type the email, corrrecting the grammar/spelling before sending it, especially sending to an oversees recipient to make it easy to translate/understand ?

Can’t beleuve that email is legitamate

But on second thoughts........

Sporting Lisbon ? £16.8m ?

That'll be an opening bid of £450k then with the balance paid over 8 years....

Sully's working the old percentages game - If we bid for one Sporting player per season they're bound to sell us one of them eventually . Or else we'll threaten to loan someone from PSG .

I swear these journalists make up us buying west brom players every season because alphabetically we are next to them. That is how much truth there is in the rumours they spread. How many wba players have we been linked with compared to how many have ever bought?
West Ham have joined the race to land £3m Jonny Evans, 30, as Premier League sides prepare for West Brom's relegation. (Mirror)

That email is legit, Sullivan released it to try and prove he made a bid for Carvalho, that’s when the sniggering started, then Sullivan Jr said we are suing for serious libel, that's when we fell about laughing.

Someone did put a picture up comparing our email and one that Leicester City send when they send a formal request to buy a player. One looked very professional the other didn't.

Tottenham are ready to sell England left-back Danny Rose, 27, 29-year-old Belgium centre-back Toby Alderweireld, Kenya midfielder Victor Wanyama, 26, and Belgium midfielder Mousa Dembele to raise £170m as manager Mauricio Pochettino looks to strengthen his squad for next season
It won’t happen but Wanyama and Dembele would be a great pairing for us. I really like Dembele. A solid all round midfielder.

Dembele is expected go to China, think he has physical problems that prevent him from playing and training too much, don't think his body is up to much

Dembele will be off to China apparently, MB. Class player though, like you say, IMO he's too good for over there.

Edit - sorry fmgod didn't see you'd replied already

If the latest stories are right then he vetoed the Belgian lad which suggests the board were willing to spend.

Moyes is cautious in the transfer market so I doubt a January window when he has been at the club five minutes is well suited to his style.

Dembele would be class, more chance of Jock Stein being our manager and Ancelotti as his assistant though
