Was only a matter of time before Carroll’s next injury would surface, same with Reid. Sooner they’re both out of contract the better imo. Manny is intelligent, he’ll have planned for life without the two of them anyway

I agree Georgee, don't think the majority wish injury on them. Just sale because of the injuries I think. They are becoming abit of a waste of good wages.

In other words they have been poorly treated in a medical sense over the summer and reported for pre season prematurely. This is a f*** up. We need another big CF.

The only blow here is the fact we can't get rid of either right now and we've lost another £160k a week in wages to players who won't figure much.

It all sounds a lot more dramatic than it already is. Both pretty straight forward procedures, just another ballache waiting for their returns. It is all rather laughable though but sadly used to it. :lol:

It does pave the way for Hernandez to get a lot more of a look in if he fancies it under Pellegrini which is my big hope.

For me it's also a positive cos we cannot get rid of Arnie or Chicharito now, they're all we have that can play up top. Both have to stay.

The original tweet was pretty innocuous tbf

West Ham Football
@westhamfootball
Club will release a statement about Andy Carroll and Winston Reid later :(
3 months out for each isn't the best or worse news really, I figured it'd be worse.

Maybe they didn’t look after themselves in the break and showed up for pre season in poor shape ?

Carroll has been an unmitigated disaster, great player on his day but far far to unreliable
Reminds me of my first Alfa Romeo 164 , great when it’s going but does not go well very often.

Let's be honest who really had any of these 2 players down as starters for us this season? Furthermore who had them as making any impact at all realistically. You've all followed this club long enough to see how brittle both are, it was only a matter of time. The only f*** up here is the fact unless the Board do something they have another 5 years of this **** with Reid, at least Carroll is finally off our books next June.

In fact I'd put money on him never kicking a ball for us again.
