It's a very reasonable assumption based on what's happened to date, but this time around, would they dare?

He's a spit of a very young John Terry, but, that aside, I, too, hope the bloke makes it.

I detect a bit of Tomkins in him - not afraid to try to play football.

Just needs a break, imo.

Sully will sell Lanzini for £40m so he won’t have to fork out a penny.

Bit of a question mark over his hair, but I think he's got a chance.
He's not the answer for next season, though. Nor is Rice, really. We do need one more centre back who can start in the first XI.

Fraser Forster, injured a couple of times in the past and prone to stupid errors that lead to goals. Dropped by Southampton, who are on the verge of being relegated if they don't have a dramatic turn around in results. With all that in mind, why would we want to waste our time and money signing Southamptons sub goalie?

Forgot all about Forster recently. No coincidence they've gone to **** this season since he's been out the side staring relegation in the face. Ie consider him in the summer should they go down which I think they will. They've got a few to be fair, Redmond, Ward Prowse, Tadic. Take your pick..

I know we promised him the earth and failed to deliver and that's what ****ed him off, but take a look at Marseille's team last night and apart from Mitroglu, once briefly of Fulham and there is not one player in that side who's name you will recognise, maybe someone in goal, called Pele :) So, might a cheeky phone call saying come back Payet, you know it makes sense be worth the 10 p outlay ?

Bail him out due to his International career flagging once again? f*** that. He acted the right twat ****ing us all over especially the manager who did so much for him at the time, I can't forgive him. I've long moved on from Payet and his petulant ways. 10p well saved.

Ben Arfa and Fellani are both out of contact at the end of the season would you take them?

Also with West Brom down, would you go for Ben Foster

We’re a team of midgets at times, Fellaini (although unpopular) would improve our options greatly

Wouldn’t touch Ben Arfa

Fellaini or William Carvalho for DM position.
A big strong man in front of the defence is needed. 1 of the reasons we take so mutch goals

Both the wrong side of 30. Ben Arfa can start a fight in an empty house. Avoid.

Fellaini, Ben Arfa, Fraser Forster, Bertand, Stephens.... they make absolutely no difference to our approach in seasons past. High wages, not much of an improvement in some areas, questionable attitude, some of them about to be relegated. If we have another season signing these types we will be battling it out again, our recruitment needs to be so much better and extend from players who are just a bit easier to sign due to circumstance.

A really clued-up club(1), having secured its Premier League status(2), would have its manager(3) sit down with its Director of Football(4) and discuss transfer targets that fit into the team strategy(5) and budget(6).

(1) Not us.
(2) Not us.
(3) Not sure who it will be next season.
(4) Not got one.
(5) Not sure we've got one.
(6) £4.50, in instalments.

We're a shambles. Don't get your hopes up.
