To be fair, it seems they've outspent everyone outside the top 4 - not just us. Not sure how though - maybe they've overspent. And it's not exactly brought them huge successes has it.

So all that spending has worked well for them then?

What we need to do is get him training with his country and then call out an injury...,

I can’t see us selling him in a deal that he would accept given his yearly signing on fee and weekly wages...,

The number of people on here saying Arnie is as good as gone, has there been anything other than Mourino watching a game he played in and making a few positive comments to say he's off?

And the ones suggesting he is too good for us? That's the spirit! Bring in some of the decent signings being talked about and he will be at the same level. Talk of a swap deal with Martial is laughable. He's already being linked with Chelsea and Spurs.

The welcome to West Ham video for Fabianski must be of Cecil B DeMille proportions the time it's taking to shoot.

If we bring in 5 players (IF) of better quality than we already have, and dispose of a few lesser lights and keep the net spend down as well what's not to like? If we have a net spend of £75m, we'll surely suffer the next 2 windows. Better to keep a steady flow of funds than do an everton and splash a load of cash in one go. Mind you, Sulli might fancy funding some nice lucrative loans to the club.
If we had owners I(we) trusted i think most people would see it that way regarding the net spend. It's how we should operate, very few clubs can afford to just keep spending upwards of £30m net year on year. However GSB have broken so many promises and mismanaged the finances so often that most are now in the "I'll believe it when I see it camp". They have nobody but themselves to blame for that.

As for the Everton part I disagree slightly. Their splash the cash funds mainly came from the sale of Lukaku and should've been used to buy 2 or 3 quality players but (Much like all those years ago when we sold Rio or Liverpool with Suarez) it wasn't.

Reid has played 177 times in all competitions since we returned to the Premiership. Averages at 29 matches per season, not really that bad. I mean I agree he does have plenty, but as long as you have enough decent CB’s in the squad, 29 matches is more than reasonable. Carroll has played 128 in the same amount of time, so even if he’s had more injuries than Carroll, he’s played more matches. I certainly wouldn’t want to get rid of Reid. We’ve released Collins, so we need to replace him with someone who is an upgrade (like Diop).

Seri rumoured to be replacing Jorginho at Napoli.

Jean-Michael Seri's agent is quoted by CalcioNapoli24 as saying: "We hope to have positive news in the coming hours in Naples."

Nope, nothing at all. Oh apart from Arnie saying there's been no contact whatsoever...which when I run that through my West Ham translator app comes out as...done deal

Edit: Pezza quoted as saying it's a cert on the next page...
