Is there anyone from Stoke that remotely looks like a human being?

Form pointer: Stoke have lost 5 away games to the top 6, with an aggregate score of 23-3.

The 12 away fixtures against teams 7th down have never had more than a single goal margin in them.

Our win at Stoke was the only time they've lost by more than the odd goal in 24 games (home or away) against clubs outside the top six.

A lot of those facts and figures are surely down to the fact that they have Butland between the sticks.

However, if I were Lambert, I'd be starting Berahino against us...we are the sole club in the entire universe against whom even he would score :D

As others have mentioned, Stoke are no pushovers despite their form at the moment. They will have pinpointed this match as make or break, and will do anything it takes to win. The same as the Southampton match, I expect Arnie to be the difference maker for better or worse. The Stoke players will be at him from the off and the fans will be hurling endless abuse his direction. If he rises above it, we will win. If not, I fear the worst.

Win this and Stoke would effectively need to win out to surpass us, due to their goal difference. Southampton would also have their work cut out for them, especially if they lose against Chelsea. Going to be a nervy game with 1 goal being the difference, hopefully in our favor.

If we attack this game in the same way we have done the previous two, we 'should' have no issue. However we really do have to be at it and it will not be a rollover.
Pretty much how I see it too.

I'd also add that I'll be really pissed off if our players take a 'last game of the season' attitude to it. We've still go an infinite capacity to f*** things up and there's still another fifteen points to be played for even after this game. The fact that 37 points will probably be enough doesn't mean that the players can take an early holiday. We need to finish as strongly as we can even though it's a train wreck of a season.

My last game of the season as I am off on holiday next week until after the season finishes. Being moved to the Monday messed up my plan for a proper drink up

No sitting back, no pussy footing about. Just get at them.

Hart (would rather Adrian but that ship has sailed)
Zab
Rice
Oggy
Cresswell
Masaaki
Noble
Kouyate
Lanzini
Arne
Hernandez

Will finish 2-2

Honestly I'll take a draw, they haven't looked to bad in their last few games, robbed at Arsenal and if that donkey Diouf could score they could have beat Spurs. 1-1.

MNF, great, smashing, super, the entire weekend in the pub uninterrupted by anything as trivial as having to go to a game.

From a results perspective,

Carnage has called it , but for goodness sake we need to be entertained as well.

So, that's one up top, 5 at the back and a makeshift midfield. :D

One of those seasons that can't end soon enough, finishing as it did to all intents and purposes with Antonios moment of madness away at Palace months ago.

Stoke though must surely know if we beat them they are as good as down and I hope the Moyes boys will be brave and target a win.

There, I've done it, defined the next level, it's being brave enough to try and beat a broken Stoke City at "home".

a draw is no good for us with arsenal city united and Leicester still to play . I cant see many wins in that lot. we don't want to have to rely on the last game to secure our season.

next level my arse !

win at stoke and we are staying up. draw prolongs the agony and lose and we could be back in it after the next 4 games.

hart
rice oggy cresswell
zab noble kouyate lanzini masuaka
arnie Hernandez

subs Adrian Collins Johnson Cullen quinna browne hughill

2-0 hammers arnie and Hernandez.

not sure how bad hopefully he will make it if not might be Collins if he is fit or move zab there and play Johnson ?

as usual the light squad causes us problems even against mighty stoke !

There is more chance of David Sullivan finding that 10p that hit his glasses than Moyes starting Ben Johnson against Stoke!

Even if Cresswell and Collins are both unavailable he'll risk Evra in that left centre back role or drop Kouyate back into the back three and push Ogbonna to the left.

It would be handy having big Andy on the bench.
If we are defending a lead and they call on Crouch, my first action as manager would be bring on the geordie and match them up at corners/dead balls.
