nope. that's exactly why they have to wait ten days.MB wrote:I'm more concerned that the board want to take ten days rather than that Moyes has gone.
Arsenal and Everton definitely in the market. Chelsea and Leicester likely in the next few days. Are we a better option than any of those?

Rafa normally has a clause in his contracts that stipulate if his employment is terminated for any reason whatsoever the employer must pay his contract up, in full, within 7 days.
I think that will rule him out.

West Ham have met with representatives of Manuel Pellegrini but Sky Sports News understands wages are a major stumbling block.

Thanks and good luck to David and the team...
We have to move quickly before our DoF goes on a spending spree...although last time he did that when we didn't have a manager in place Payet pitched up

Yeah right - wasn’t Allardyce one of the best paid managers in the world? Actually makes sense - all these top managers want extortionate rates... best settle for a lesser manager

I suppose it's a given that Moyes had signed an NDA so as not to reveal his side of things.
It was risky to bring in Bilic when we did. This is even more of a gamble I reckon. Would have preferred Moyes to have one full season at least (which isn't asking much).

Out of interest, what would Pellegrini be asking for/how much has he been on at City, then China?

Marcel Brands: Everton to name Dutchman as new director of football
He, along with new chief executive Denise Barrett-Baxendale, will select Everton's new manager after the sacking of Sam Allardyce.

So... we're looking for a next level manager that wants to take a pay cut to manage a team that's below their usual standards. That'll work.

I doubt Chelsea will be waiting around - the new guy is probably already informally signed upMB wrote:I'm more concerned that the board want to take ten days rather than that Moyes has gone.

The only way I see we get someone decent is to put a clear marker down on one manager and go all out before someone else gives them a call.

It won’t be Rafa. He will want too much control, Newcastle are moving in the right direction under him and Ashley seems to have largely shut up.
It won’t be Pelligrini. Why would he?
In fact it won’t be any manager who is close to being at the top of their profession.
Our owners have a reputation in football. Now that Moyes stock has risen I’d imagine his demands for a long term contract were significantly different and more demanding than in November.
Maybe it’ll be Wenger

Don't forget that we have an architect coming in to take a look at putting in better seats, closer to the pitch ANNNNND a committee going to the P.L. hierarchy about extending the half time break so that the lads from RWHFAG can get a pint or two down and return to the seats before the second half starts...warp wrote: we've got a state of the art (for athletics) iconic stadium in the poshest area of london. and ****ing beer shelves!
