I'd go with:

--------------------------------------Adrian------------------------------------------------

------------------------Rice-----------------------Ogbonna------------------------------
--------------------------------------Kouyate-----------------------------------------------

-Zabaleta-----------------Noble-----------Fernandes--------------------Masuaku-

--------------------------------------Lanzini-------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------Carroll------Arnautovic-------------------------------------

Subs: Trott, Collins, Cresswell, Cullen, Mario, Hernandez, Hugill.

Adrian has to play as Hart can't. Get Kouyate to play at the back in the middle of a back 3, to link up between the defence and midfield. Noble and Fernandes in midfield. Lanzini in for Mario as he actually does do something. The only thing I struggled to decide is who to play up top between Carroll and Chicharito. The only reason I just about when for Carroll is because whenever Chicharito plays we seem to be more vulnerable and open as he doesn't help defensively as much. Don't get me wrong, that's not all his fault, as the bottom line is if we had a better midfield and defence we wouldn't have to worry about it. But sadly we do. Hence why I went for Carroll. He can help us out defending corners and freekicks. Especially with flapper Adrian in goal. I want Carroll and Arnie to take in turns. When we want to get it more out wide, or wip the ball into the box I want Arnie to sit deeper and link up between the midfield and especially the fullbacks. When we want a bit more pace, get Carroll to sit deep in front of the midfield and hopefully win any flick-ons for Arnie to hopefully get on the end of. I kind of want a repeat of the shape and formation we had when we went to the Ethihad as I think it worked a treat. Shame Antonio is out injured as I truthfully would've went for him up to instead of Carroll. Shame Obiang also isn't fit as I would've liked to have switched him with Fernandes too. But we can only try and work with what we have.

I am going for a shock 2-2 draw. The West Ham Way and all that  I am just going to go back to my pint now *hiccup*

We're not going to out-pace them, or out-pass them, or out-muscle them, or out-tactic them. The only thing we may be able to out- them at his lobbing the ball onto Carroll's head.

So yeah, Carroll to start this one and an old-fashioned aerial bombardment. We literally have no other choice.

Unless Lasagna's on the menu.

Pep wouldn't allow that unfortunately. More likely our players would have been :eh:

Liverpool showed the way to beat this lot, they're **** at the back, so we should go for it from the start. Get Carroll, Arnie and Hernandez on the pitch at once. We might as well drop all our midfielders and they'll be passengers when City start passing it anyway. Concentrate on winning the ball at the back then breaking on the wings or over the top. I think we'll win 6-4. 8-)

Adrian gets hurt in training....Trott has to play, and has a stormer...we win 0-1.

Moyes: I have a big decision to make regarding our goal keeping position.

Hart starts the following week...

Is it possible to get odds on a keeper scoring?

I'm going to say a 1-1, with us leading until the 89th min. They will set a new record for the number of shots at 79. We will have just the 1.

I have no idea if it is on the box here in US, but even if it is I can't bear to watch it, and I won't even follow it online, just check in after its all over to see how many we lost by. It is going to be painful

Bloodbath, wave after wave of attacks from the superstars.

Guardiola won't let them go easy, we're at 9/1 to win.

1-0 (Rice 90+5, needs to be the very last touch of the game) :scarfer:

Noble & Kouyate are in for an absolute drubbing. The ease in which teams are able to pass through us is a joke. Silva/KdB/Fernandinho are going to lap it up.

I can see Yaya being wheeled out for this one & rip us a new one playing at half speed.

Watching us capitulate on Sunday was shocking & I'm still annoyed.

Be interesting to see if Ben Foden is given a longer stint by Pep - one for England's future.

4-3 West Ham. :scarfer:

Their performance against Swansea was the biggest mismatch I think I've ever seen in a prem fixture. Period. Swansea had 17% possession or thereabouts.

No idea what the best approach is given we can easily ship 3 goals against sides that barely score, and could still be saved or sunk by goal difference come totting up time. Not that it matters, it's Moyes – we know how we're going to set up.

I expect it will be the largest defeat for any side this season. They will score at least 8.

We were unlucky up there with...

------------------------- Adrian -------------------------
------------- Rice Ogbonna Cresswell -------------
Zabaleta ----------------------------------- Masuaku
----------- Kouyate Obiang Fernandes -----------
------------------------ Lanzini -------------------------
--------------------- Arnautovic ------------------------

I'd imagine Noble for Obiang and Mario for Fernandes will be the only changes. Sit deep, sit tight, hope for the best.
