I am as impressed by Pellegrini’s ability to change what was clearly so very wrong early doors (Noble/Wilshere as DMs) as I am still baffled by what led him to make those decisions in the first place.

That said, he’s hoiked Rice (Liverpool) and dropped Noble, quite ruthlessly in both cases, and yet here we are a few weeks later with those very same two players rejigged, revitalized and an integral part of our improvement.

That’s pretty ****ing cool to be fair.

lets not get too ahead of ourselves we are still 4th bottom but improving. Saturday provides us another big test, win that and we are back. lose and we will be bottom 3 again.

he needs to sort our fullbacks out and get the front 3 working properly with regards to tracking back and converting chances.
he also needs to get gsb to give rice a decent new contract.

he has sorted a lot though and after 6 games we have
1. a good GK
2. two decent CBs who are getting better each game
3. central midfield looks so much better since the switch to three
4. Anderson starting to become more involved. needs a really good game for lift off I feel. man utd game perfect opportunity
5. yarmolenko playing better and looking fitter
6. Antonio lasting longer than 20 mins a match

lots of positives but a long way to go.

Same boat, starting to feel positive, but still early doors.
To be fair, was not overly worried at the first few games as I always believed that such a massive overhaul of the squad would pay poor results to begin with.

8-0 with a second string and successfully blooding some academy youngsters

And in a game we’d have easily struggled in under Fat Sam or Moyes

Doesn’t matter it was Macclesfield, a performance like that, ruthless putting your opponents to the sword comes from the attitude instilled by the manager

Well done MP

Onwards and upwards

A win on Saturday and the naysayers after 4 league defeats will be a distant memory

He's got his work cut out for him - we are top of the injury table now.

That table comes back from the printers with us permanently inked in at the top.

At the moment:

1. Carroll (naturally)
2. Reid (generally, as per)
3. Lanzini (long-term)
4. Sanchez
5. Hernandez
6. Arnauotovic?
7. three or four U-23/academy players.

So I did....

Making 5 regular internationals, him (an occasional) and Andy Iron Lung (very occasional, but 'unplayable' on his day).

The gravy train is rolling.

He’s achieved something better than any manager since 1983. That’s certainly worth applauding. I think the team and squad have embraced his philosophy - big result against someone like Man U and I think we might really start playing with some belief and swagger.

Starting to believe he will be around beyond Christmas... and very pleased about it too.

Although I didn't see the match, I have seen far too many where we have gone a couple of goals in front and then sat back to try and see the game out. That seems to have changed now and it also seemed to me that we were still taking the game to Everton, as well, even when we were in front (at least until the last few minutes). Hopefully, this trend will continue.

I reckon old MP will be fired up for this one. I expect a very committed approach from our lot for him and us.

win this game and we have lift off for the season.

beat brighton and then bring on spurs.

if we remain unbeaten after these 3 games we will be flying.

Well played Pellers

Playing gorgeous football. Most of the news will be about how bad Manure are, but full credit should go to you and the players

Can’t overstate how good seven points from our last three fixtures have been. Throw in the 8-0 as well and looking like things are coming together very nicely.

Got the first few games wrong, but as soon as he realised we couldn't play 2 in centre mid, we've gone from strength to strength.
