They usually hand out 2 year deals, don't they?

Think Allardyce got 4 years.

They said a step up, his pedigree as a manager and coach speaks for itself. Let’s see what unfolds in the Summer with the transfer budget. He has been given a launchpad to work from with the World Cup shop front.
Good luck in the role Manuel and welcome to East London.

Interesting. The Guardian first printed the news saying it was a deal worth £10 mill a year, now they have edited and it reads £7 mill a year.

Either way I guess you won’t be hard up so, welcome to WHU, Manuel!

Can’t knock Sullivan for actually putting his hand in his wallet for this one.

Welcome Mr Pellegrini.

Allardyce did 4 years but they were 2 - 2 year contracts.

Good luck and welkumb. :crest:

Now everyone prove me wrong and give him plenty of time to start sorting things out; he'll probably need it.

Wasn't the difference between 18th and 13th about 7 million quid? I suspect if we had finished 18th Moyes would have been kept on.

Welcome to West Ham and good luck.
Now he needs a large transfer budget as he can’t work miracles with the current squad.

So what you're saying is that we are thanking the wrong David?

Thanks Moyes :scarfer:

Given that Fonseca was pissing us around looking for an improved contract at Donetsk, Benitez was never leaving Newcastle, and Emery was already shoed in for the Arsenal job, we've got the very best next thing in Pellegrini, IMO.

I thought he was older than 64 when I first heard he was in with a shout, so I'm hoping he's still got that fire in him. As a manager, I think he's a great fit for us.

I honestly think that this is the first manager that Sully will truly respect enough to stop meddling with the ****ing transfers. The guy needs to build the squad himself with a properly aligned DoF.

Hopefully Brady stops her tabloid column and Sully keeps his gob shut and things improve at the stadium, and then we can ALL be happy. As it is, I'm happy that no-one will be claiming Pellegrini isn't the best manager we've ever appointed based on achievement. I will be happy letting that sink in over the summer.
