We need a new defence, goalkeeper and two new central midfielders. Let’s hold fire until the window shuts before getting excited. He needs to be backed big time.

Certainly the highest profile manager in our history. Let's hope they back him in the transfer market.

On paper it’s a fantastic appointment and hopefully it will follow through in real life too.
Credit to the board for getting it done - I was worried that it was going to be Pellegrino with them by mistake!
Now let’s hope he gets the backing and lack of interference unlike his predecessors.

OK...well done Sulli. Good appointment and looking forward to next season now. I am gonna give the board the benefit of the doubt now and assume they are gonna back their man in the transfer market. Never a dull moment with WHU.

I'm cautiously excited. Could it be a change in attitude from the owners? We all know how this club can drag people down but for now let's really look forward to the new season and get behind our club. If things turn sour we can worry about that then but I'm in the glass 90% full camp at the moment. (subject to funds)
Also I think the media are missing a point. We are not looking to break top 6 yet. I would be happy with making a go for it in the cups. Playing more attacking football and being in the top 10

Wow, he must be insane to be happy to work for our owners. But what an appointment! Dare I say it, well done to Sully for once talking the talk and walking the walk!
Now for godsake make sure you back him and give him exactly what he wants! We all know his style of play and the players we need to be able to play the way he plays. So let's make this window a good window for the sake of our season. As it won't matter who is in charge if not backed.
Welcome to the club Manuel and I wish you a long and successful stay!

Bienvenido Manuel,
I hope this one is different, every decent player we've signed has turned in to toilet at West Ham, I hope this doesn't happen to you also.
I hope you can work magic my man. Good luck from all of us.
Well done also to the board for actually moving quickly and getting it over the line. Hopefully you have learned and this will be replicated in transfers, maybe you're learning finally how to do business at PL level. Time will tell but props for getting this done

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th new manager
Is the 3-year contract the longest under their tenure?
They usually hand out 2 year deals, don't they?

Fair play, Mr Sullivan.
Now give him £100m to spend plus all proceeds from player sales, and take a (very) back seat.
