Yeah, should have taken a week off when we had matches on.

Colours never run wrote:I've discovered one irritation I've got of Pellegrini and it's when we defend corners. I'm one of those that is a stickler for having a man on the post, yet Pellegrini persists not having any and it's led to goals already being conceded. It happened again vs Burnley for Woods goal which would have easily been cleared had there been some one already in position.

Now I've got that off my chest, I will now dream of his soft silky barnet.
I wish we would keep one man up on the half way line when defending corners as well

most of the sports journos rotate round all the different papers over the years. Neil dunn in the mirror wrote a snipey little piece having a dig at Pellegrini about a month ago. He basically recycled any critical comments that had been posted on KUMB (probably from Ironing board!)

Friend of a friends dad told me Peller's was in Belfast all weekend, and he got a good turn driving him around...him and Mrs Pellers...

Nothing but good vibes to report and a decent tip too.

Belfast? That's an odd place to choose for a weekend break, isn't it ?

In a pretty mashed up way, here's how we've fared over the first 12 league matches.

I suggest you ignore the charts, til you've read the info below...

I can't ignore the chart that shows us with a +2 GD for the first 30 minutes of every game but a dismal -5 GD for the last 2/3rds of the game.

hope someone sent Pellers a copy of this........

with a caveat......

GET BLOODY FIT ENOUGH TO LAST THE FULL 90...

Naive tactics today. We allowed them to play their game and they never really had to get out of second gear.

We ostensibly had a go, but by playing so open we played into their hands.

had a go ?

created chances but I honestly felt that if we HAD of scored they would have moved up a gear...they were actually walking most of the time...like a training match...

Yeah, was quite embarrassing really. In some ways it is more of an insult when they start treating it like a training game than going all out to give us a thrashing.

No problem with the manager today. 4 attacking players v man City? Yeah, why not. It didn't work but bold move which I have a lot of time for.
I would have played Cresswell ahead of Masuaku, not because I think he is a better left back (because I dont) but more because of consistency of keeping the same back four as last two games

We led 8 -1 on corners, we didn't take our chances, but I enjoyed that more than the last few games agains them. 4-0 flattered them. I love Pellegrini. We are going well, we as Pellegrini says finish a lot higher than we are.

We will probably finish around where we are at the moment. Realistically can’t see us getting higher than 10th

I’d rather we did have a go, it’s not like parking the bus against this lot would have resulted in a shock 1-0 win.

Pelboy is doing a great job of making us entertaining, even as the premier league becomes less with every passing season.
