Pre-season plans should be confirmed early this week. As above, one or two different areas and teams than usual. One fixture must have been agreed as part of a signing last season, in the north end of the country.

As we are sponsored by Betway, I assume we will be attending the Betway Cup in Switzerland. Hopefully we won’t be facing competition as good as the mighty Altona 93 (in their 1500 seater community park)

Thanks, some decent games for pre-season. Some of those comments underneath…I don't think they get the point of it.!!!

Will probably do Wycombe as it's a Saturday 3pm and a new ground for me, not fussed with the others.

Notice they've left Saturday 4th August free for now, guessing this will be a home game/Betway Cup 'do like Juventus two years ago

I'll probably do Wycombe as its only down the road from me. Shame about Villa/Walsall being a midweek game. Serious lack of a German city destination this season...

I can't imagine they will have much of a squad left by the time they play us.

They're double skint

I know, we've usually been in the same division. It's quite unusual to play so many Championship clubs as well, Ipswich and Norwich excepted it's usually league 1 or 2 sides.

Probably not if ExWHUemployee is right.

"There will also be domestic fixtures at the usual Essex haunts although there is unlikely to be a home fixture this year due to the cost and the stadium having other commitments."

Deal of the century.

Didn't Lady Brady confirm last year that the stadium must be handed over to us in football mode by 1st August each season ?

Not sure what other commitments there are at the stadium to prevent a home pre season game on the 4th August.

Unless of course she is lying....

Maybe we have access to the stadium but the terms of the contract mean paying more to stage games?
