West Ham United .

FFS , it's a ****ing curse.

Hope he recovers well for his sake more than ours, a really shame for him as the next world cup is in a place nobody with a brain would want to play.

Seriously what is it with us? It's actually a ****ing joke isn't it. Gutted for him and us. He'll be out for 9 months.

Horrible news and have to feel for him, unfortunately another of our players who seems to be going down a path of consistent injuries.

Horrendous for both.

Feel so sorry for him missing the World Cup. Likely he would've played plenty on the biggest stage in the World. For us we will miss a key player for probably most of the season.

What can you say? b*llocks!

:( Absolutely gutted for him. To have worked his way into the Argentina squad, and looking likely to play too, and then this happens and he misses the World Cup. Such a terrible shame.

Obviously not great for us too, as he'll now miss probably half the season next year too. Let's hope he gets the best treatment available so he can return as the same player.

At least we won't sell him this summer now :P FFS this club is cursed, why the f*** do we bother!?

Hopefully he recovers and returns the same player for his sake.

The only silver lining is that it will deter Herr Klopp snatching him from us. Get better soon Manuel, we need you.

Absolutely gutting all round, both for us and him being his first World Cup and chance to show on a big stage and potentially earn himself a massive move. Gutting for us too, as he is a wonderful, lovely footballer to watch

Absolutely horrendous news, I have lost a hell of a lot of interest in England over the past decade so was really looking forward to watching Lanzini link up with Messi et al!

Would have been great to have that buzz factor around a West Ham player like Payet in the Euros.

From our perspective expect us to fill the void with another hard working player with zero creativity, joy!

As we have got rid of the old medical staff maybe the new ones can have him back sooner.

I guess Mario will now be back next season
