Add to that Germany hosting it twice since 1966, that makes it 6 tournaments out of the 15 that have now been held since 66 that have been hosted more than once !

60 long years in the wilderness despite having the ready made footballing infrastructure to host immediately, Economy, No Voting collusion history, No mass drug scandal history, perfect weather conditions, no spurious political or religious views, no human rights issues etc, etc........

We get the message FIFA

While I will disagree on that, I think its a disgrace that England has never been given the tournament again. The 2015 Rugby World Cup, the 2012 Olympic Games (albeit in London), numerous European Cup Finals (London and Manchester), all speak for themselves. The rail and road network is impeccable, accomodation readily available, the dispora of fans from nations all over the world, a chance for taster friendly matches at Craven Cottage, Ewood Park etc prior to the tournament, a scope for huge civic participation, GMT. You name it, England is a truly sensible place to host the tournament. I still feel given that it has been held in Germany, Brazil, France, and Italy in the past 30 years, that it has little to do with capturing the audience.

There will be three ready built stadiums used in Canada to host ten of the eighty matches. Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton seats almost 60,000. The Olympic Stadium in Montreal seats over 60,000 and be given renovations and the current field that hosts Toronto FC can be upgraded to seat 40,000+.
All will of course be fitted with grass fields.

We might be in for it again in 2030 though:

Yes, we are going to bid BUT, the first World Cup was in Uruguay in 1930 & Uruguay will be doing a (joint) bid 100 years later!
Hmm, wonder who's going to win that...

I think the way things are going, it will end up hosted by USA, Russia and North Korea!

We won't get it in 2030 either. By the time we get a sniff of a chance, some FIFA c*nt will announce that games will be spread across entire continents from here on.

We'll probably be invited to pay for it entirely, then we'll be allowed to host Uzbekistan vs Gabon at the Madjeski, with the final being played in Germany.

For me it is the perfect choice. I could hardly imagine how Marocco could have hosted 32 (or even 48) teams and how they would have come up with all the necessary stadiums.

Hope this joint bid inspires the Welsh, Scottish, Northern Irish and Irish FA's to launch a joint bid for the Euros.
Indeed, why doesn't England develop a joint bid with the home nations and Ireland.

Or could London go it alone - it must have 8 decent stadia

Why does it need to be held across three countries? England could hold a World Cup with only a few weeks notice.

England will struggle to get another World Cup. Most of Africa still perceives us as Imperialists, we have got few friends in Asia or South America and most importantly, we do not play the bribery, corruption and you rub my back and I'll rub yours game as well as most other countries.
