Between Fab & Rice for HOTY. Been a superb buy, not been this confident in a keeper since Parkes & Ludo. Bargain at 7 million.

I’d have him over Allison 100%. Saying that, I don’t think I’d feel as confident with any other keeper in the league as I do with Fab. He’s that good.

Think that must be right.

Best ‘keeper since Green (pre USA gaffe)?

Other keepers have had their spells - James when he arrived, Green in the great escape season and Adrian when we were pushing for a CL place 4 seasons ago.

But I agree - Fabianski was excellent for Swansea and promises to go on whereas the others didn’t.

Not sure i'd swap him for any other keeper in the Prem. Maybe De Gea but that would be it. Most important signing we made in the summer. :crest:

I wasn't happy we signed him but been overwhelmed by how good he has been, last few seasons Adrian could have some complaints about not starting, this season he can have none

I'm not ashamed to admit that I just thought he'd provide a decent bit of competition for Adrian... I've been very pleasantly surprised by just how good he is though.

I don't think we can really talk in terms of him being up there with Ludo or Parks just yet and age may be against him going on long enough for us to make that comparison.

He is certainly chasing the likes of Hislop, Green and James already though. A top quality keeper.

HOTY for me with Rice getting the youngster award.

I find it interesting that we're still incredibly leaky at the back yet a lot of people will cite Fabianski, Balbuena & Diop as good to great buys and see Rice as a possible HOTY.

Not saying we're wrong, guess it just shows how bad a position Pellegrini was starting from at that end of the pitch!!

I think the loss of fitness / form in Cresswell has been huge in terms of our defence too as we have been far too exposed down the left.

Can only have been a handful of games that we have been able to start with a fully fit back six of;

---------------- Fabianski ---------------
Zabeleta Balbuena Diop Cresswell
------------------- Rice -------------------

Lukasz was recently interviewed by Polish journalist, Tomasz Wlodarczyk who works for Przeglad Sportowy.

When a cross comes into the box......and you see Fabianski coming for it. You can just look away knowing everything is safe.

I wouldn't swap him for many other keepers.

Watch the dropped crosses happen now... :)

Few keepers would have saved that first minute effort. He stayed still and said to Babel , 'And?'.

So many keepers wave and flap, charge out and make the striker's mind up for him.

Have to hold my hands up and say I wasnt sure about him when he first came in, didnt think he would be much of an upgrade on Adrian, glad how wrong I was.

Dont wanna jinx him, but im amazed how the ball sticks to him when he saves it. 1st keeper i saw was Parkes. Fab isnt far behind him :crest:
