Showing more than Anderson who cost twice as much at the moment. Worked really hard today and you can see that he has plenty of talent. If he keeps this up he’ll become my 2nd favourite after Arnie.

Good to see the players taking the mick out of this. Obviously he should have scored, but things like this show we must have a good team morale between the lads. That'll make a bigger difference on our final league position then 1 missed chance will.

Just about to say the same thing Briggsy

I saw an interview with him & Arnie, his English is pretty good, had some humour about him, looks like he is fitting in really well which can only help him/us.

What's the odds on him getting a goal or two at the weekend. I also saw the chat with Arnie, seems like a decent bloke.

I thought he was intimidated by the opposition and some of the ‘meaty’ challenges he received on Friday.

If I was scouting On Friday for the opposition I would conclude that if you ‘rough him up’ he will retreat into his shell....

I have to admit I hadn't seen a lot of him playing before he joined us. I have been surprised however that for a tall bloke he is very poor in his heading. Also, hopefully he will become more accustomed to the rough treatment he got from lower Premier League defenders on Friday. If he doesn't his football skills will not come through consistently. I do like him but toughen up please. You are a big guy so give some back!

I do like him i just worry we are a bit too obvious in our play sticking him on the right. To be fair to him he can move his feet quickly to get on to his left foot as he did against Everton and Man utd. However there are times where he is just too desperate to go on to his left side and Brighton nullified that on Friday, and for that reason he was pretty much non existent for 90 minutes. He doesn't seem prepared to mix it up, and to an extent its understandable as his left foot is a wand but opponents are going to work on cutting that angle off constantly and he hasn't really shown other than cutting in, what else he can do to affect a match.

I actually see him longer term as a sub......that guy who can stretch the opposition when they tire.

The trick of playing right and cutting in to shoot with his left will soon be sussed all defenders will just keep him outside
Impact sub for maybe 20-30 mins

I'd like to see him and Anderson rotating more. It'll keep the defenders on their toes and means they can run down the line too instead of cutting inside the majority of the time.

Easier said than done, Arjen Robben is on his 18th season with that trick and it still works, plenty of others use it as well because it is hard to stop since you can't let him get off a free cross into the box either.

I'd like him to put a few crosses in on his right just to show defenders he's willing to go on his right if given enough room.

needs to get used to the physicality of the league. clear that brighton decided to welcome him last Friday and he fell to pieces.

one trick pony but a very good one but we must mix it up a bit and he must improve his fitness levels.

I agree and I know he can do this as well having watched him play on a number of occasions before. He'll be a quality player for us once he gets that going again. I agree with other posters as well that his fitness levels don't seem what they should be.
