Left-footers

Postby uptonparkhurst on Thu Jul 12, 2018 11:02 am

Does anyone know the record for fielding the most left-footers in a game?

We could potentially (assuming no one is sold) field a team with
Cresswell,Arthur,Ogbonna,Wilshere,Yarmolenko and Carroll !.

(Have I missed anyone?)

Celtic used to field a team of all left footers until the 1970s (or round about then?)

Left footedness is all well and good, but what blood type are they?

Marko Arnautovic is two-footed so counts as left-footed .

I am also left-footed . :scarfer:

Arnie is predominantly right-footed, although I grant you his left is pretty good.
Off the top of me 'ead, I can only think of one player - Bobby Charlton - who seemed naturally 2-footed
(even brother Jack couldn't say for sure what his "natural" kicking foot was)
Hoddle may be another.
Hurst and Peters I think were equally good with either but preferred the right. Similarly STB.
Similarly Bryan Robson, although he was a leftie.
Just my opinion, going by the foot they preferred when running with the ball.

TOMOS I expect your right foot is for standing on only (as is mine).

Santi Cazorla doesn't favour either foot, too.

Oxford isn't left footed unfortunately.

I was going to bring left footedness up recently on this forum actually. I've noticed a few posters say about certain left footed players that they're...

'very one footed'
'never use their right foot'

Now, as a left footer, I often get called one footed and players tell their teammates to show me onto my right because I've only got a left foot. Maybe I'm being paranoid but I'm pretty sure you never hear this about right footers.

So, right footers, before you call out a left footed player for using their left foot too much, maybe it's because you're right footed and you notice it more when players aren't right footed.

I think that makes sense.

He’s left footed on Fifa :D

I find that most left footed players are much more adept at using both feet than right footed players. I was always fairly two footed but couldn’t shoot with my left, crossing and passing was fine but shooting was a massive drop off in quality.
