Welcome, General.

Second Paraguayan in claret and blue after the football prodigy that is Brian Montenegro?

Know next to nothing about him in terms of playing ability, but in terms of just general things like him being captain for Corinthians, presumably coming in for as the Brazilian season is currently being played, looks like he's made of granite and has seen some struggles to get here. Current Paraguay international and started their last two friendly games.

Looks good on paper, hope he comes through for us. Husillos and Pellegrini sound like they like him from that article.

Welcome to :crest: Fabian, lead us to victory General!

To steal a march on those in the transfer thread....

Legend has it that Balbuena as a child single handedly killed a lone Grey wolf with his bare hands...

Could well be problems with him understanding instructions. Am sure the photographer asked him cross his arms for the pic!!

For me a bit of class been shown by the club announcing him first and not in a double

Allows him to have the limelight for signing rather than being completely overshadowed by Anderson who will smash our transfer record

Exciting times

Welcome Balbuena

More money spent on the the defence. He certainly has elements on paper which will speak to this as a good signing. An international, who played an exalted role at a major club in Brazil. If he beds in well this could be a very shrewd signing. That’s two centre backs, a wing back and a keeper singed this summer, with a grand total of about £30 Million spent, and that doesn’t include the signing on fees etc for Fredricks, who was wanted by Fulham. When I think back to all the loans and freebies we have signed in these positions, this is truly outstanding work.
