Very surprised it took him this long to make it to Europe.

At £4 million this fella is an absolute steal...imperious defending again yesterday after a poor start to his life here. He iand Diop are gonna be some pairing once they hit top form. The General. :)

Is it possible to combine The Generals two threads.

Future posts could be added to UTJ 's new thread and sometimes I like reading back about certain players to see how opinions change.
Snodgrass & Arnie are a good couple of examples. As is the once unplayable Andy who I saw someone mention today would be overpriced if all we got was a packet of KP for him in the upcoming transfer window.

Apologies if I am out of order asking for this.

“With Issa it is funny, he speaks Franglais and I speak Spanglish so we mix the language on the pitch but of course we try to do good work in all the games we play. Until now we have one thing to improve and that is clean sheets, we have two and as a defender that is one thing we work on and want to improve.”

What a man.

Injury given as "unkown return date" - what's up with that? thought it wasn't serious.

Not even mentioned in the team news in the official club preview which is worrying.

Fear the club may ne waiting for some good news (return of Arnie) before announcing yet more bad injury news....

Now would be a good time for Oxford to step up

It's not going to happen. Isn't doing all that in the under 23's.

A hefty rest for Ogbonna after his injury will likely have done him wonders, on form, he's one of our best defenders. He was playing with an injury for months.

Hope Balbuena isn't out for too long (I think Pellegrini said he was touch and go for the Southampton game) but Ogbonna isn't the worst replacement.

Yeah, I know Mushy. This could have been the opportunity for him to make an impact, though.

.

A really good point often overlooked when people discuss Ogbonna’s poor form. If Balbuena is out for a little bit, I hope Ogbonna is back 100% as he is a good PL standard CB.

was it Cardiff that he played when we rested Balbuena ?

anyway if it was, he was immense....

he played very well against Watford coming on early doors and I thought he was good at the Saints.

on that basis alone, if he starts we won't be awful.

Several saints fans I spoke to were saying how good Diop and Oggi were.

According to the site-that-shall-not-be-named he is out indefinitely due to knee ligament damage.
