What a difference a couple of months can make.

Liverpool are the only side in the league to have improved more than us from last season as it stands.
Plus we only need one win from the next four games to even further improve. Speaks volumes for what Pellegrini is doing.

Seven points better off and you have to say that there have been plenty of points left out there on the pitch too. Wolves at home and Brighton away are notable losses that should not have been. Chelsea and Leicester are both games we could have won had we taken our chances too.

Great thread, thanks for the info.

Great thread!

This really gives a tangible link to that positive feeling around the club at the moment.

Also shows that while the Liverpool narrative is so annoying in the media, i guess you can't deny there is some good reasoning behind it. If we keep on this roll though, you've got to think that there will be some more public discussions about just how well Pellers has done in his first season with us.

Thanks CRFC

Interesting thread. I think wolves are favourite for 7th. If we want to overhaul them then the game at their place is a biggie.

Would be pretty shocking if that table comes true and there are 20 points between the top 6 and the rest.

I find this fascinating and a good gauge of how each team has improved or not. However the predicted final points tally and table has to be taken with a large pinch of salt as it is based on all of the remaining results being the same as last season. For example West Ham have only had 7 results out of 26 the same as last season so it is a fair prediction that the remaining 12 will mainly not be the same either.

So only Liverpool and Watford are more improved than us on last season.
Pretty impressive stuff from Pellegrini when you consider how many injures we have had.

They beat Palace, Leicester Wolves and Stoke (Cardiff), drew with Man City and lost to Arsenal at Home and drew at Liverpool and won at Bournemouth, Chelsea and Everton. Unlikely that set of results will be happening again although they have picked up since beating us in December.
