(Flat) cap in hand

Postby Up the Junction on Fri Oct 05, 2018 1:09 pm

A decade after striping West Ham Utd for north of £30million, Sheffield Utd's owners return to Essex with cap in hand.

Can't Twitter at work, what could the Andy Capped, Hovis munching, smog sniffing, freeloaders possibly have the audacity to ask for?

Their team is one of those classic championship teams that hits form, gets promoted and then gets destroyed weekly the next season.

I hope they come up and beat Derby’s record low.

I like the thought of that but I still prefer my idea more, because I actually want to see them continue to struggle financially making ends meet after the ridiculous decision to award them close to £30m. A huge sum of money they had no basis whatsoever to justify receiving it without a proper challenge of the senile old goats ruling. They get promoted, they would have the chance to straighten out their finances. Well, ****, that.

This is true. We can just trash them in the FA Cup. Then watch them struggle financially and fall down the leagues

I would love them to become a non league side and their ground demolished to make an overflow car park for Hillsborough. I will always hate the blunts.

I thought our cup tie with them a few seasons ago passed by with suprisingly low fire, rivalry and incident, as though everyone on both sides had moved on. I could be wrong?

Strange. Up until they rinsed us for the cash I always had a soft spot for Blades.

I was the same. That all changed for me though, since the Tevez saga. To blame us for their own failings for getting relegated, then get handsomely rewarded for it based on loose supposition ****ed me right off.
