Re: Jan Transfer Window 18/19
No idea how credible this website is, there's no quotes, mainly guess work but they seem to think we are pressing ahead to get a deal done this month.
Note they also mention Carroll to Spurs in their article, which of course was rubbished earlier this week.
Personally I don't see it happening, but then I said the same about Anderson, so who knows.

I love google translator
DEPARTURES IN THE WEST HAM
It should be noted that the arrival of a forward to the English team also depends on the fact that the chips are lightened.
MAIN DESIRE OF PELLEGRINI
First of all it is an old claim of the hammers , who already wanted it in summer. Pellegrini is his main supporter and training under the orders of the Chilean trainer seduces Maxi Gómez . In the locker room he would meet Zabaleta , Balbuena or Lanzini , also South Americans, so the change of country and the language barrier would not be two particularly traumatic handicaps in the first instance.

Right, so according to Google translate, that says:
"Galiciapress has the name of the West Ham ya trabaja and is supported by the parentheses of the parent or diner of the pretending caterpillars of the Maxi Gomez, by a pound in poetry and by 50 millimeters by the cluster of charrúa."
I have zero clue what any of that means

Re: Jan Transfer Window 18/19
I didn't say they were clear cut in favour of our player. I said that you'd be reluctant to make a straight swap. My point being, I'm not sure why everyone is swooning all over Bournemouth (below us in the table).Crouchend_Hammer wrote: i don't think any are completely clear-cut in favour of our player
but if you make it...
You have taken their tier one players and compared them to our tier two players... what is that proving?? Would we take their best seven players over our 8th -14th best... most likely yes. Even then not all of them are clear cut.
In my opinion, our squad and manager are better, as is our current league position (that isn't opinion, it is fact). I also think our fully fit first team would beat theirs comfortably. They played us at good times this season, once before we really got going, then again when Arnautovic threw his toys out.
They have been a settled side for some years now, adding pieces to the puzzle as they go.
Pellegrini has had six months and is already better off in my opinion.

You're not, you're in the January window thread, a window in which other clubs are involved and therefore, discussed.

Does being linked with Maxi Gomez mean we're going to discuss the entire Celta Vigo squad now?

Re: Jan Transfer Window 18/19
f*** me everyone is a bit touchy today.
The whole Bournemouth conversation was on the back of the fact they have spent nearly 30m this window, and we haven't, then it went on to discuss them buying loads of young British talent, whilst we have a different strategy.
Hardly only about Bournemouth.

Said it before, but if we have been looking at and scouting Gomez, I think we should also have picked up on and hold an interest in Fran Beltran. 19 year old CM, he's class, a sort of deep lying playmaker type, knits stuff together for them.

The parentheses of the diner of the pretending caterpillars is a Colombian translation of the owner is working tirelessly day and night, so I understand.Jedi Al Khalaas wrote:My office cleaner , who is columbian , just read this and said we are close to be in business to sign maxi Gomez.

Re: Jan Transfer Window 18/19
I think we have got a "bite" from Gomez - What we do next will determine if we have turned a corner under Sulli and Co,imo - If Pelle is serious, get him in and cough up(personally if needs be) the initial installment regardless of if Arnautovic goes now or in five months time and recoup it when he is sold - I'm sure the sale of Hernadez/Perez would help.
f*** them and the player about now would be more of the same old, same old from Sullivan and another "quality signing" struck off the next transfer window wishlist, imo.

Re: Jan Transfer Window 18/19
fingers crossed for Gomez. hopefully in before Liverpool match.
pay the money now and sell arnie in summer if needs be.
carroll, perez and Hernandez off wage bill by summertime will help with the wages side of things.
will need one more striker to add to Gomez and silva.
DM - drinkwater on loan ? diawara in the summer
obiang ogbonna hughill Cullen all set to leave in the summer hopefully.

I posted on the Arnautovic thread and am asking the same here.
how many times have you watched Gomez or Belotti or any of the other mooted players on here ?
honest answer as your approach to us signing players is about as scatter-gun as you can get.

Timely – this got published this morning
https://www.football365.com/news/europe ... -liverpool" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;Europe’s biggest net spends since 2015: Bournemouth leapfrog Liverpool
Which means they have done an awful lot of spending since their promotion from the Championship in 2015. More spending than most of Europe, as it happens

Re: Jan Transfer Window 18/19
if pelle wants him then that's fine by me. personally never seen them or don't think I have seen them but can they be worse than perez and carroll ? even Hernandez who is screwing west ham 140k a week for what ?
