Pretty sure Mr Roan won't be getting an honorary degree form the University of Leicester anytime soon

Think you might want to check that, I'd imagine like most Jorno's he's self employed and a contractor, they could **** him off in a heart beat

To be fair there's probably some sort of agreement/expectation that he "represents the BBC when on the job and a certain level of conduct and professionalism is expected"...

That being said it's pretty clear they just want to brush this all under the rug and hope it goes away so he must be pretty popular there. Completely different to how they treated Jeremy Clarkson...

Clarkson punched someone. You're right, it's a bit different.

A better comparison is the headlines they’ve had about the food critic saying something about vegans, who has subsequently resigned from his position Waitrose.

All full time correspondents/editors are on permanent staff contracts at BBC. Kialos is correct.

Not at the BBC at that level

It’s unquestionably a part of the silence

Stood outside Manchester City's stadium (and across the road) on the news last night. Banned from entering the building.

Can't say i've ever followed his tweets, but just having a look now at the replies it looks as though he'll be hounded for a while yet in any tweet he does put out for the foreseeable future.

Was he banned due to his comments? If so, fair play Man City.

Not that I completely agree with the battering he is getting due to his comment and people wanting him to get the sack, but, I can't stand him either so I will gladly tow the line for this **** :D

Glass house syndrome for him innit, that's more the reason for the battering I think, and rightly so.

Clacton - I believe he's banned from Man City due to some fall out with Patrick Vieira, although I may be mistaken.

He's tried the old media trick of burying any focus on himself by retweeting & posting an absolute slurry of posts on Citeh & the likes

He appears to only have one setting, does Mr.Roan - Unpleasant sensationalist journalism - No irony in that's what has got him in deep water in the first place.

Anyway, it's all BBC sanctioned stuff & behaviour that was approved/covered up anyway. Not like they're a publicly funded corporation that we all pay for or anything
