Joe hart

Watched via a stream today but looked like he had a gd game, still shipped 4 goals though. Just wondered what kind of reception he got?

Probably their best player, would have been blamed for all four goals if he played for us.

Still punches balls he should be catching. Parried a soft strike right in front of him. Busy doing theatrical dives where there's no need. So glad we have fabianski.

Looking like he has found a third team on the trot that concedes 60 goals plus a season, while he pockets a fortune in wages.

Meanwhile the bloke he replaced at West Ham has just had his tenth clean sheet of the season.

Possibly conceded more goals at Stratford than anyone else?

Was going to say the customary 4 goals let in by Hart, thankfully not in our goal this time.

He's a good keeper who can't ctch a football, whether in the air after a cross, or a shot.

Getting found out without Man City in front of him

A neutral one, no different to that which the majority of opposition players receive.

Interesting from a Burnley fan:

“The only physical difference between Burnley this year and last is Hart.. sorry to say it but how else can you explain Burnley going from having one of the tightest defences in the country to conceding 3-4 goals every game. Pope is needed back urgently if they're to avoid a relegation battle.”

And

“As a lifelong supporter, I must say I have never seen a Burnley side with such a non-existent attack and no creativity in midfield. Despite minimum funding, Dyche's buys have been abysmal.Apart from crosses and punted high balls- nobody ready to run on to them if they win the ball- their football is dire. Dyche may be God back home, but I can't believe there are 3 worse sides in the premiership.”

He was my whipping boy last season - David Sullivan's ego-trip England No.1 signing finally replaced by Adrian. Well he came back to the OS, flapped at a few, punched a few and shipped 4 goals, like he did last week :) - he really is **** 13 goals shipped in 3 games

I couldn't stand Hart but keepers don't ship goals, teams do. I though he had quite a good game tbf. We could have had 8 or 9. With that in fron of you you're going to 'ship' goals. Burnley were probably the worst side I've seen at the pit.

Confidence is just as important to goalkeepers as it is for strikers. A goalie low on confidence will go for the easy punching option over catching 9/10 times, and be less commanding to his defenders. Hart really isn’t a bad keeper. Anyone who says so does not know goalkeeping. Overrated, possibly, but bad? No. Its as if people have wanted him to fail for years. Burnley blaming him for being ***** this season is clutching at straws, and neglecting the fact that all of the teams behind Burnley last season significantly strengthened their squads over the summer. He was their MOTM against us, pulling off some good saves. He needs confidence.

That said, Fabianski is a far superior goalkeeper, and I’m happy we have him!

Ironically it was this fixture last season (0-3) that best showed-up just how poor Hart is.
Meanwhile Pope at the other end in the same match was fantastic - best visiting keeper I witnessed last season (bar De Gea).

It was absolutely mental that some so-called 'expert' pundits actually suggested that Hart should go to the World Cup ahead of Pope!! :P

From my observations on Sunday, quite a few Burnley fans are questioning his suitability as first choice.

I thought people were of the opinion that Burnley had 2 of the better goalkeepers in the Premier League so who's idea was it to sign Joe Hart and why ?
As a human being I think Joe Hart is great but he's been on the decline as a goalkeeper for years now .
