Re: Susanna Dinnage - New Permier League boossA woman?
Has anyone checked she knows the offside rule? If she does, maybe she can explain it to Simon Hooper.
Re: Susanna Dinnage - New Premier League bossI liked him on How?
Re: Susanna Dinnage - New Premier League boss
She's way ahead of you
Re: Susanna Dinnage - New Premier League bossJust a couple of snippets from the BBC website:-
"She is a leading figure in the broadcasting industry, a proven business executive and a great developer of people". "Although she is a Fulham season-ticket holder, Dinnage does not have experience within the football industry". Sums up the modern game really.
Re: Susanna Dinnage - New Permier League booss
I'm not sure I understand the offside rule anymore, it seems to depend on who is playing.
Re: Susanna Dinnage - New Premier League boss
Well if it doesn't work out, she could always get a job as a football pundit.
Re: Susanna Dinnage - New Permier League booss
Looks like you're starting to get it perfectly coops. Just need to remember which teams are the right ones.
Re: Susanna Dinnage - New Premier League bossFootball is no longer a sport but a product to be merchandised. Clubs are merely brands.
Re: Susanna Dinnage - New Premier League boss
Which is why they brought in someone with television expertise rather than football.
Re: Susanna Dinnage - New Premier League bossDespite being a Fulham ST Holder with her background firmly linked to TV rights, I can't see her championing the match attending fan's cause so looks like nothing will change for the better.
Re: Susanna Dinnage - New Premier League bossScudamore’s background was media before getting the job as Football League Chief Executive too. Maybe that’s the skill set required for the role.
Re: Susanna Dinnage - New Premier League bossVested interest no. 1
Having been a Fulham season-ticket holder for three years, my own sporting judgement clearly leaves a lot to be desired. *1st alarm bell goes off* Clueless? Although she is a Fulham season-ticket holder, Dinnage does not have experience within the football industry. *2nd alarm bell goes off*
Re: Susanna Dinnage - New Premier League boss
Iiiiin one!
Re: Susanna Dinnage - New Premier League boss
Yeah and what a massive media loving **** he was! Looks like we've managed to find the female version. How's ya luck. It ideally needs someone in the role that truly cares about Football and it's purity. Now it's driven solely for money, advertising and TV. But sadly I'm used to the bull**** now so won't notice **** all change that'll be good that's for sure. ![]()
Re: Susanna Dinnage - New Premier League boss
Considering the importance of the broadcast deals to the whole 'product' I'd say it is an essential requirement.
Re: Susanna Dinnage - New Premier League bossI admire your sentiments CNR but you're 25 years too late. Football is just another branch of the entertainment industry now, sport doesn't really describe it. Customers have replaced fans and clubs are now global brands. It's really just the way the world is with everything nowdays, but I won't start a political discussion by going further.

Re: Susanna Dinnage - New Premier League bossGiven her background, I presume she will be good at negotiating broadcasting deals which is seems is the main area of the role etc.
I presume other matters; investigations, discussions about rule changes, disciplinary matters etc. will be handled by someone more experienced on those issues.
