Battle for Promotion: Who do you want?

Postby thejackhammer on Tue Mar 12, 2019 11:41 pm

Leeds and Norwich occupy the top 2, Sheffield United just below them.

I'm hoping for Leeds and Norwich to come straight up and Bristol City to win the play offs.

Pulis can do one.

Leeds, Norwich and Forest.

EDIT: I'll also highlight the ex-West Ham contingent at Luton are strolling back into the Championship. They've gone 5 points clear at the top today.

Not many of the ex-Hammers seem to be getting a huge amount of game time at Luton, sadly. Elliott Lee was on fire at start of the season, which was great to see, but he hasn't scored for ages. Think he may have missed a chunk of games through injury?

Dan Potts and George Moncur are always on the bench and no idea what's happened to Stech. Think Ruddock plays a bit though.

Norwich is a nice day out.

Leeds are orrible, only ever wish the pox on them.

The Blunts would be lively but would be happy to see the Carlitos Effect carry on for a few years yet. Grumpy feckers.

West Brom has a great away pub and never been to Preston so one of them through the play offs please.

Leeds as my '2nd' club and Norwich as I've also seen them a few times as well. Used to go with a mate of mine to Carrow Road, sadly he took his own life a few years later. Never thought the football was that bad.

I hope Sheff U lose in the play off final after being 3-0 up, losing to the other Sheffield lot on penalties.

Wouldn't mind Leeds just to get Bielsa as that would be interesting. Looks like he's managed to get them over the hump, and is better equipped now to push for promotion. They did always look a little short even when they had Chris Wood notching 30-40 for them the last time around.

Not sure about the other 2 spots, but would rather not have the likes of Middlesorough come up again. They've come up a couple of times already in the last few years and each time they've shown no real desire to stay up. I think the club is more than happy to yo-yo up and down, collecting the parachute payments along the way.

Maybe Blackburn can make a late late charge, those lot deserve better than Venkys.

Leeds (if they keep Bielsa)
Norwich (they have yellow jerseys)
Wedesday (just to make it that more unpleasant for the other side of town)

Leeds / Norwich / Boro

(The latter deserve it, for having the strongest defence by some considerable margin).

This.

But if they did, can we bring back Tevez, just for the away game, not to play but just to run up and down the touchline warming up for 90mins in front of the home fans..

As long as it's not Sheff Utd or Boro then anyone else is good. Would like to see Nottingham Forest back who still have a chance with a play off spot.
