This is Alexandre Dreyfuss, the chairman of Socios, you know the company West Ham have chosen for their Blockchain madness.

99% of sports fans are not in the stadium of their favorite club. Soon they will be one block away.

What he is saying seems pretty clear; if you are in stadium, you don't matter We will prioritise those who pay for access.

was merely pointing out that even if no one spends anything in the ground, it probably isn't going to make a difference as the stuff is contracted out isn't it ?

so the only ones to "get nothing" are the vendors. they probably pass on a minimal amount considering there's 60K people in the ground spending I don't know, average 5 quid a pop (probably more) is only 350, 000 quid less costs. club isn't going to get rich on that.

that's why they contracted it out. get something if there's a profit, lose nothing if no one spends a single sou.

I thought the stadium operators owned.and profited from the catering contracts. If no one buys anything the caterers won't pay as much to be there and it doesn't effect our rent...

But if no one pays a penny for any of this Blockchain garbage they'll start giving out some tasters with season tickets and tickets to try and get you bothered. Still no money = it goes away.

I don't know all the ins and outs of the catering deal.

I do know though that people in arenas/stadiums etc. are a captive audience. we used to buy the odd bit but we ate outside and drank outside too. we would still spend something though

I know that loads of people will buy beer (naturally) and/or some grub. so I don't think the caterers will ever sell zero food.

but don't they have to sell over a certain amount or pay a set fee (i.e. bid on being able to be there ?) the club I don't think have to pay anything and therefore if the minimal amount of food/drink is sold to make it at least someplace to be in, The Axis of Evil couldn't really give a rat's arse

that was basically all I was saying.

This sounds to me like a re-working of the Microsoft money-grabbing system whereby Xbox gamers have to buy ' tokens ' so that they can gain the advantage over their opponents .

' Can I have another £15 to buy such and such a gun , Dad ? ' .

Our son had spent £70 of his own money buying a tank on some war game without us knowing - we now have to keep a very close eye on such things - Ok , he's not out in the pub every night and he doesn't smoke so why not let him spend his money as he sees fit - it's the principle of the matter , kids are being taken advantage of - it's the same here .

Everyone wants your money .

This is an absolute scandal and a reminder of how the dildo brothers see us as customers rather than fans. Combine this move with their unwillingness to engage with a independent supporters group, instead needing to control the agenda, show that this board don't consider themselves guardians of a great institution, but are narcissists who believe they are beyond reproach.

Fortunately I believe that Socios have underestimated just how belligerent our fan base is. I sincerely hope they sink a ton of money into trying to make it work, before failing and going bust.

I'd go one better and hope that the dildo boys have personally guaranteed a big return for them and when it doesn't happen they get sued, losing their vast stashes of porn money and have to sell the club to keep themselves in tacky bejewelled panthers (their true passion)

Putting this on here. Mods might want to consolidate the threads on the same Socios subject
