Let's look at the positive, we will feel more confident and elated when he rejects another club in favour of joining us, all because he likes the cut of our jib, our growing pool of talent, and sees our potential (and loves the size of his wage-packet...)

In other less exciting news, Swansea (and Fulham) are linked with Reece Oxford:

If he hasn't signed by the end of today I take it there's a problem.

Or they can't think of a clever social media way to show him off.TommyHammer wrote:If he hasn't signed by the end of today I take it there's a problem.

Damn does this mean we have to pronounced Paris the French way too. Hey if we aren't careful we will have to start pronuncing our old home more like Boulogne. But then I still get pissed when I hear Amazon pronounced the American way.HamburgHammer wrote:Haller is pronounced the French way: Drop the H, the Cockney way, stretch the vowels and you're pretty much there: 'Aaalleeeer.

Apparently Dortmund are the team that have come in for him.

Apparently good friends with our assistant manager.Aceface wrote:Nicolo Schira clearly likes to over-egg the pudding, but at this point demonstrably has an inside track on the bigger deals the club does. First to flag interest in Anderson, Nasri and Haller. Maybe on Diop as well?
UtJ re The Guardian reporter. I must admit I didn't know who he was, just see his comment retweeted on Twitter and thought it might be someone stirring.

Getting all the way to this stage and then pulling out would demonstrate extraordinary bad faith on Haller and his agents part...it may just be last minute posturing/negotiating tactics to eek out or iron out some of the finer details before signing the contract...fingers crossed

Dortmund have really been splashing the cash this summer – seems not very Dortmund-like. Who are they selling?

The concept of "good faith" doesn't really exist in football...Irrons wrote:Getting all the way to this stage and then pulling out would demonstrate extraordinary bad faith on Haller and his agents part...it may just be last minute posturing/negotiating tactics to eek out or iron out some of the finer details before signing the contract...fingers crossed
By the standards of the game as they are now, his agent is doing what he should and keeping all his options open until the last moment.
It'll be interesting to see if we can apply some pressure to get it over the line.

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread
We should submit mega bids for Paco Alcacer and Jadon Sancho and offer to double their current salaries...and whilst we're at it put in similar unsettling bids for Gotze, Reus, Brandt and Hazard

CB to PSG for 30 mil, one that isn't even first choice, bit of a strange signing from PSG, none of the players they are signing will be on horrendous wages a quite a few could turn out to be sold for lots of profitAceface wrote:Dortmund have really been splashing the cash this summer – seems not very Dortmund-like.
