Seriously, Welbeck wins this hands down.
Arsenal and Man u in his cv, us chasing at least one striker in the summer - it's a match made in heaven.
Cahill trails in the second place, as dave is enticed by Maripan's relatively low transfer fee (as quoted)

Please rename this the, 'Is There Any Point Still Supporting West Ham If We're Still Going To Be Buying These Types Of Players?', thread..
Not as catchy, I grant you..

Welbeck
Cahill
Valencia

All fit the bill of won stuff, played for big teams, internationals, all miles past it or broken but would fit the West Ham mantra of signing over the hill old players on big wages and long contracts to a T.

You've got to throw a few non-domestic in there too, someone who once played for Barcelona/Milan etc ten years ago for five minutes.

We are delighted to announce the signing of France international, Premier League winner, Hammers legend Patrice Evra. Evra will provide the team with the talent and experience needed to take us to the next level. The manager begged us to sign him, and we have not had a moments rest since, and we were finally able to get it done. This has of course put a real restraint on ourtransfer budget, because of the FFP rules. But we are pleased to say the manager has now been given everything he has asked for, and any failures from here on are to be blamed on him and him only. Anyone wanna buy a blue-ray?

Jordan Hugill - after a productive season at Middlesbrough Jordan is excited to have the chance to show the crowd at our world class stadium what he can do. #WelcomeHomeHugill

Sam Byram - Nottingham Forest really wanted to keep him but we're delighted to welcome Sam back to the club. He is fit, firing and raring to go for the 19/20 season. #WelcomeBackByram

Edimilson Fernandes - One of the top performers for Fiorentina last season, Edi is excited to return to the club to showcase what made him such an exciting signing in 2016. We're delighted to welcome Edi back into the squad and are sure he'll make a wonderful addition to our midfield. #WelcomeFrontFernandes

Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel, 32, is closing in on a return to the Premier League and is reportedly considering multiple offers. The Nigerian spent the second half of last season with Middlesbrough.

Having thought about this overnight, we should really be trying to get an international representative squad together, Escape to Victory style, which rules out any Geeeeeermans.

They're mostly fockes.

With the transfer target thread hotting up, a felt this thread needed a bump for some more realistic targets!

My offer:

Freddy Adu
Age - 29
Previous Clubs - 14
Available for - Free
Form - This attacking midfielder has scored 3 goals since 2013.
Sully Special Rating - High....His last club was Las Vega Lights so bound to add a bit of razzle dazzle to proceedings.
