Maybe all the fans' websites have got a bad name due to those which are cesspits of moronic comment, obscenity, and thinly-veiled celebration of football violence.

Ignorant people will always generalise and tar all things with the same brush. You just have to live with it I guess.

Anniversary time ... it's a year this Wednesday since KUMB were first banned from attending post-match press conferences at the Boleyn Ground by Miranda Nagalingam.

Wasn't she one of the birds suspended for putting it about in the U.S?

Whatever happened about that

The obvious answer to the question is of course no. No they are not right to ban KUMB or any media that have a reasonable following among West Ham fans. The fact that they do ban KUMB is a typical sign of insecurity and hypocrisy often seen in organizations which are not well run professionally and feel uncomfortable with the truth.

However the strenghth of a site like KUMB is that it is independant of the club and feels no need, financially or otherwise, to follow the official club line. Which is what makes the site and this forum worth reading. Once drawn within the general infrastructure of the club (even to the minor extent of attending press conferences) a degree of independence is lost.

I attend a huge number of press conferences per year (never at Upton Park unfortunately) and the interest in any press conference is usually minimal and the degree of arse licking on show is often very depressing. The only real interest sometimes tends to be in the pre- and post-press conference gossip that gets bandied about. Apart from that I don't think KUMB is missing much by being banned
