Man of the Match: Blackburn
Strangely, Sky gave the award to Dean Ashton. In my opinion Danny Gabbidon was my man of the match with Scott Parker a close second.

Gabbidon for me,- 2nd week running.
He and Upson are showing all the signs of justifying mine and some other's faith that they are the best pairing at the club.
Drogba was kept relatively quiet last week by both and the usually dangerous Santa Cruz and McCarthy were also dealt with quite well.
Any time Santa Cruz got free, it was more that he lost Upson than Gabbidon.

I can see why they gave it to Ashton. I think we looked more dangerous once he came on. I don't think we really looked like scoring in the first half.
That said I think Gabbidon or McCartney were my MOM.
I think Upson has made a massive difference to our defence. I think he's the one that organises us.

Danny Gabbidon! Followed very closely by Scotty Parker.
Dont want to sound critical because it was a fantastic win but I thought Upson was poor today. when watching MOTD2 tonight, look out for the Santa Cruz effort in the second half when Tugay played the dink over the top and Santa Cruz smashed it over, where was Upson? His lack of aerial presence at defending corners as well. Samba beat him to the ball on more than one occasin. Kenwyne Jones also out jumped him at UP agianst Sunderland. The two centre backs for me has got to be Gabs and collins

For me Gabbidon is an awesome defender, hes good in the air and often wins more headers than he should and his positional sense/marking is second to none. But his distribution is absolutely shocking and the opposition know this and are happy to let him have possesion.
However unlike Ginge or Anton he knows his limitations and normally just punts it long rather than get in trouble.
