Fair do's. I thought it may be a good incentive to get more people signed up as paid members to avoid the ads.

I have no idea if you would get more revenue from the extra premium members, on top of the revenue you would get from the ads from the non-paying members, but say deleting the ads for Premium Members, if it encourages say, another 30 to become PM's so they get no ads, that's an extra £450 in your bin.

Or it might be a technical impossibility? :)

I'm sure it's possible to produce a script that would exclude certain IPs from receiving the ads, DL ... but it's not something that's on my immediate radar :)

Just saw this post. Already moaned to my mate at Betfred who is the CRM manager about this.

I understand why we are using them but they do suck :(

Whilst fully understanding the need to generate revenue, the ads on the right hand side of the page make the forum text smaller which is a pain with my eyesight! It's worse on the iPad and whilst I know you can make larger it;s a pain to have to do it on every page. Are we stuck with them, will we end up having them both sides?

The text size hasn't changed HD1. If that's an issue, CTRL + mouse wheel up to enlarge

Alternatively, get everyone to stop using ad blockers and I'll happily remove them...

Surely there's a setting that enables you to increase font size universally within the browser?

Just asked mrs.caress to check (she's got an iPad, I never use the thing), after a quick look she said, "No, I can't see anything like that... can't he just move the iPad closer to his face?"
