Itunes skipping the first song

Anyone know what might be causing this? Every time I play an album which is in my itunes playlists it always skips the first song and goes straight to song 2. The only way I have found to get around it is if I go to the last track of the album and play part of it and then it will play song 1. Also I don't know if I do this correctly but if I want to add an album to itunes i create a playlist and then drag all the songs into it.

As much as I hate I tunes, the others are not quite as user friendly. Media Monkey and Twist something or other I tried but didn't like much.

They are a lot harder to navigate and imvho Apple makes it this way to get you to use I tunes.

I really wish there was something that was really a much better I tunes than I tunes.
