Re: So who will you follow now?
I'm just sitting back and enjoying it. Liked the Colombians & Chile so have a preference for them. Hate the French so will always support anyone who plays them. Likewise Portugal. A one trick pony of a team.
Re: So who will you follow now?
Will support Japan until they get knocked out (probably their next game against Columbia) and then will have to go on to support Germany simply because they represent Europe and have the best chance of being the first European country to win a World Cup in South America.

Would love to see Messi do well as a player, not so keen on the argies though.
I'd like to see Chile and Colombia do well.

Re: So who will you follow now?
Chile and Colombia look good, Costa Rica are unpredictable, can't support the French, Argies or Portugese...so it is Germany or Holland for me. Mostly though, I just want to sit back and be entertained.

Re: So who will you follow now?
So long as no one scores a hat-trick in the final, I'm not overly fussed.
I'd prefer it to be a team like Chile, Costa Rica, Colombia etc than one of the usual culprits.
I suspect the Germans will win it.

Chile, definitely. Ambitious, attacking football, they deserve some success.

Could never back the Jerries, nor the Frogs. Despite our "conflict", I have always had a soft spot for Argentinian football and Chile have impressed me. I don't want to see Brazil win so, I am backing Netherlands - the best country never to have won the Worlds Cup

I haven't seen anybody else with the movement and invention France have, so they are the one's for me However, should they meet Ze German's at any point, I fear that will be the end for them, probably on penalties

Re: So who will you follow now?
Although I'd be happy to see a "new" nation win it, like The Netherlands maybe. And I want to see how far Chile and Costa Rica can keep going.

This. Plus they have a Cardiff midfielder and a Forest player in the middle of defence showing how much more important team work is than having flash players, their work rate was fantastic against Spain.Philosophical Dan wrote:Chile, definitely.
