Tika taka definitely dead

Guardiola had 6 players starting from the Spanish team that won the WC in 2010.

Guardiola had 7 players starting in the German team that won the WC in 2014.

Tika taka is definitely dead.. :D

I think the setup of the Bundesliga and their investment into youth football, schools of excellence etc was the reason they won the WC. Not Guardiola.

Joachim Loew and Jurgen Klinsmann deserve the credit.

Bayern has the best players in Germany. They did before Guardiola arrived, and they still will long after he departs.

The only similarity between the German team and Bayern is the personnel. The style in which they play is totally different... thankfully.

Will be interesting to see how Guardiola gets on if he ever joins a club where the existing squad isn't good enough to walk the league.

That combined with player no out and out striker really... short sharp passes.. lions share of ball.

For me it was like watching Spain of a few years ago

Bayern did just sign Lewandowski.

Guardiola's tactics are overrated. They are namely,

- Sign the best players in the world for ludicrous sums of money.

- Feed them a barely legal concoction of performance enhancing drugs.

- Know the right time to resign/move on, just at the beginning of the decline.

Hype. So much of what he's about is simple hype. Bayern win the league in record breaking fashion. OH MY GOD. What an unbelievable achievement. They were only, already the best team in the league and then they signed the two best players of the second best team. Astonishing accomplishment.

They're not legal, they're just never tested and the biological passport is a paper tiger so thin it makes FFP look well policed.

Just for clarification although the doping blacklists do mention a lot of specific drugs there are also blanket rules against basically anything that alters blood chemistry, etc, wherever it comes from. Whether there's a test available to monitor it or not is another matter.
