David De Gea and the Torbe Case (possibly WHU-related)

Post by Up the Junction »

DDG in a spot of bother, to put it mildly. Widely suggested that he may be removed from the Spanish Euro16 squad.

Just been reading a Spanish Journo's tweets about this.

Shocking if true.

It shouldn't be too much bother. He is used to organising a defence.

I'm assuming Spain can't replace him in the squad.

Some story.

I've read a rumour that Adrián will replace him.

Surely they can't replace him as he isn't injured?

Massive blow to the Spanish team. Absolutely no pun intended.

I thought Spain can still replace him as they haven't played their first game yet?

Wow, if those rumours are true then this could be the end of De Gea, Adam Johnson style almost.

Sounds terrible if any of it is true, let alone if all of it is.

Guillem Balague on Twitter says he has not been sent home and is still with the squad.

This is an odd one.

Planted story to disrupt harmony a lá Bobby Moore's bracelet in 1970?

It just seems too hard to believe.

The same tweet acknowledges that *something* is going on, as he says "innocent until proven guilty" so it's more than just hearsay. Although the timing stinks of stirring the pot.

This was my first thought. What other reason is there to run with this on the eve of the tournament?

Maybe someone thought Adrian would be called up as a possible replacement.
(In Goal I mean).

Woe! Quite a serious allegation. As far as I'm aware the Davids do not publish or promote prostitution, child molestation etc. Their businesses are within the law and, I would guess, as such legally enjoyed by many KUMB members.
Let's hope neither of the Daves takes action against KUMB over this.
