Referees

Post by Rocketron »

I assume it comes from a decision by UEFA (kudos to them if true), but I have been very impressed by the refereeing so far in this tournament.
They seem to have reverted to the old fashioned English way.
Two players come together, not necessarily a foul.
It's been interesting to see those players that can't cope with it.
Thomas Rosicky, I'm looking at you.

Thought Clattenburg was excellent tonight. Wouldn't be surprised if he got the final.

I particularly liked when he kept saying "behave" to Eder.

Did well and didn't fall for any simulation. Normally can't stand the bloke but credit when credit's due.

I agree. They must have been schooled before the tournament to cut out the play acting and simulation which they have done a great job on. However, there have been a couple of blatant fouls that have gone unpunished but I guess you can't have it both ways. Well done refs!

Yes, fair play to them I say.
The games seem to be flowing and it is refreshing to not hear the whistle going for every single coming together of players. So far the refs have done well. !

No chance. Would have to be a neutral ref.
