Iceland vs Hungary
Two teams that I want to see qualify from their group! Love the Icelandic support though...hmmm, would take an Iceland win as I have a soft spot for them.

Re: Iceland vs Hungary
Great support for both sides in the Chav Derby. Both well organised but lacking quality

Re: Iceland vs Hungary
Desperately unlucky o.g to make it 1-1...and yet again flares and bangers are being let off.
How on earth are they getting these things into the stadium?
Seriously...all this utter utter b*llocks is totally ruining the football for me.

Re: Iceland vs Hungary
Would have loved it if that free kick went in at the end. Should have been a penalty btw.

Imagine if we (the English) did it. We'd be thrown out before the final whistle! That number 22 looked good for Iceland , cheeky bidsimon hammer wrote:Desperately unlucky o.g to make it 1-1...and yet again flares and bangers are being let off.

Re: Iceland vs Hungary
I was there today
Supporting Iceland after Ronaldos comments after previous game.
Perhaps wearing an Iceland top wasn't best idea - Hungarians everywhere - loads of trouble - idiots
Ended up putting my Gwent hammers top on over top !
Great stadium - **** hole of a city

Re: Iceland vs Hungary
Trouble? Where were you?
Loads of people getting hammered, everywhere, bars full of both sets of supporters everywhere I went.
Fans were even mixed inside the stands without any trouble.
When we were queuing up outside the stadium, the french decided it was a good idea to have a handful of people search half the supporter, i.e. 30.000.... The crush, and the halfassed search that followed...
Besides, if you don't like flares, just look away when they're lit. They fade away quite fast
Great game, shame the ref gave the penalty in the first half that wasn't one.

It's very easy.simon hammer wrote:How on earth are they getting these things into the stadium?

Re: Iceland vs Hungary
There was a march through centre of Marseilles without much bother but by all accounts in the stadium pre match there were scuffles and arrests.
Did you see all the riot police and stewards behind the goal - that was a result of it I believe.

Re: Iceland vs Hungary
I was part of that march, along with my father, a shedloads of fans from both countries and locals.
Some kids were pissing up the walls, that light beer does that to you you know, and a few firecrackers went off. A flare was lit up as well.
Of course the riot police didn't guard the Icelandic families. But the show of force was ridiculous. One or two flares hit the edge of the pitch after the equaliser, and there wasn't a person close to the flare. One Hungarian player went over, and stopped the show. One player told 15.000 to enjoy the rest of the game, and they obliged.
I had drink with both sets of fans before and after the game. Was all peace and love
