Re: ITV v BBC
Great post especially the paragraph about that bell end Chiles,,but you forgot Garth Crookes, bring back Brian Moore lolfjthegrey wrote:Both are fairly equal.
Rio is an excellent pundit. So is Danny Murphy. I don't particularly care for Henry although he can be informative at times. Keown and Shearer are dreadful and Savage is almost intolerable. I don't mind Lineker.
On ITV Bilic is obviously great. I find Wrighty to be entertaining personally and I think Lee Dixon is reasonably good at analysing defensive aspects of the game. But Karembeu and Petit don't speak good enough English, especially Karembeu. Hoddle just comes across as bitter and miserable even though he's fairly intelligent and obviously understands the game.
I'm just glad Chiles is gone. He single handedly made ITV unwatchable. The worst presenter in the history of sport.
The ESPN coverage has been good as well. Michael Ballack and Santi Solari are both brilliant. Kasey Keller is also good and I like Ian Darke and Taylor Twellman as a commen
If only a British channel would get Brooking and Brackley back together, the ultimate commentary team.

I prefer the coverage on the beeb with the exception of slav.
I can't hack hoddle...Maybe I'm being punished for a sin in a previous life.

Maybe it's a subtle plug for a re-release of his 80s hit 'Diamond Lights'!!,chappo59 wrote:If Hoddle talks about a diamond one more time.......

Re: ITV v BBC
ITV are killing the BBC in terms of their actual coverage but the Beeb's lack of adverts claws back a lot of ground.
ITV's pundits, led by Bilic (and his little brother from another mother Ian Wright) are superb. I've even enjoyed listening to Lothar Matthaus, despite his angry chipmunk facial expressions.

Yep. The Man Utd delusion that Giggs is assistant coach or in some more insane cases, management material at this moment is hilarious.
Imagine being coached by that guy. One of the most boring, miserable, joyless people I've ever seen. First thing Mourinho should do is send that personality vacuum packing.

I have to say, contrary to most I really like Ian Wright. Am I the only one? Loved his relationship with Slaven
