Never liked Nevin since he tried to "scientifically " prove we were a long ball team, whilst Chelsea, who did similar balls, were "long passes"…never heard so much crap in my life.

The best pundits have been Slaven, Rio and Lampard.

Now their West Ham connections could be a coincidence, or it could be that we are, inherently, a more sophisticated, intelligent and charismatic bunch than any other club in the world.

Compare all the pundits who have received their grounding at Liverpool or Man U.

I rest my case, m'lud.

Now that I have seen the BBC also have Jason Alexander on.

ITV wins it hands down.

The BBC have lost it, that 'England win it' piece was painful to watch, utterly terrible.

Excruciating. I hope Tunisia watched that in their changing room.

Bubbs is right - it's West Ham innit!?

BBC are in second place for me, just for Lawro. His snide and cheap shots sound like a bloke down the pub who thinks he sounds intelligent and knowledgable by a) only criticising and slating everything and b) trying to crack jokes that are plainly awful. Just the sort of book you'd move away from in the pub.

Quite enjoyed Frank, Rio, Slav and Alex Scott as pundits but I'm rather worried about Alexs' Wiki entry after a Google search.

Alex Scott
Footballer
Alexandra Virina Scott, MBE is a retired English footballer who mostly played as a right-back for Arsenal in the FA WSL. She made 140 appearances for the English national team and also represented Great Britain at the 2012 London Olympics. Wikipedia
Born: 14 October 1984 (age 33 years), London
Height: 1.63 m
Weight: 59 kg
Parents: Carol McKee
Current team: England women's national football team (#2 / Defender)
Date of death: 1962

That's some kind of cool trickery going on there. Fair play.

Just saw Matty Upson on BBC News live from Moscow this morning. He can barely string a sentence together.

I shudder whenever I hear that bloke talk about players "giving it their all"

The WHU "Captain" who ducked out of our relegation run in. Absolute bottle job.

Has anyone mentioned the absolute tripe that Martin Keown was talking last night on commentary?!

I was honestly wondered if he was being fed lines, blaming the heat and other ridiculous things, I mean this is a seasoned league and cup winner and he was sound like some drunk bloke in the pub.

Heard Dion Dublin commentating the other day on a BBC game, honestly think I'd rather listen to Lawro and Keown together.

ITV winning it hands down so far for me.
The BBC piece on "England have won the World Cup" was ****ing nauseating. Phil Neville and his constant digs at any club that isn't Manchester United (including us, in the Germany-Mexico game) and that absolute spunkbucket, Lawro.

ITV have Slav, Gary "The smart one" Neville (who I really like as a pundit) and Roy Keane.

The only good thing BBC has had going for it has been Alex Scott.
(I'd shag her senseless, too)

Is there anyway of muting commentary but still having the noise from the game?

I know there used to be a option for this on one of the channels.

How about sticking Talksport (excellent commentary) on and muting the tv?

Alex Scott is looking cracking.

Especially sat between Upson and Phil Neville. Talk about a rose between two ****ing ugly thorns.

The man's a verbal genius, "in every compartment".

I like Lineker Sherear, Rio, and Lamps on the BBC. But Wright and Bilic on ITV have the personality war won before a ball is kicked.

I can’t bare upson, I’ve seen columns from him questioning if other players are “cut out for a relegation scrap” - absolute coward.
