Do you think the ref refused to give that penalty because he thought it impossible to have grabbed a shirt and not ripped it?

Theory: The shirts were designed to show conclusive evidence of shirt-pulling. The ref just wasn't having it.

Well it did make clear that the french were doing loads of shirt pulling. The swiss are through anyway.

I initially thought Payet messed up the free kick but looking at the replay the French player in the wall moved and put his head in the gap Payet was aiming for.

PS Were the Swiss shirts sponsored by Emmental?

Just caught brief highlights of this on French TV, and heard West 'Am mentioned a couple of times....they even pronounce it properly ;)
