And they didn't even need Modric. Have to feel they are better with him in the side.

Will take a good team playing very well to beat them. I wouldn't fancy us against them

A great performance from Croatia. Spain looked bereft of ideas and couldn't handle Croatia's pressing, work rate and application, and pace on the break. That after making 5 changes.

It's funny though, Italy's reward for topping their group is getting Spain in the 2nd round. Our reward for coming behind Wales in our group might well be Iceland, Hungary or Austria.

Croatia were excellent and without Modric and Mandzukic.

Spain won't truly move on from certain players that they need to until Del Bosque goes. Glad Ramos was again shown up for the fraud that he is against a decent team.
