Spain v Italy on Monday as a warm up for England that follows. Should be a good night.

He should go for Jedvaj, still not 21 and playing for Leverkusen even though he is Roma player. Perišić would be imense.norse wrote:I bet Billic went absolutely mental

And Pjaca is on the market actualy, that is why he played. Remember that Rog is also only 20 years old.61dicksey wrote:Pjaca looked a right handful , very decent player. Still with Dinamo Zagreb
Re: Spain v Croatia
Great game, best of the tournament so far, two very good sides both wanting to attack and win. So different from the attack against defence we've been getting used to.

How do we know that Italy will play Spain? If Italy lose tonight and Belgium win, then Belgium win the group (they'll both have 6pts but Belg will have a better GD). Won't they?

Re: Spain v Croatia
I thought Croatia were excellent last night .
The pundits called it "pressing", 10 years ago it was "application" and 10 years before that, work rate .
That's two teams, the other being Italy, where work ethic and organisation has trumped players of superior individual technical ability .Don't get me wrong, they can all play, but it's the team work that impresses most .
Refreshing .
