Italy v Spain
Somehow, any old how, Italy will plot a way past them. Probably courtesy of a penalty shoot out

Re: Italy v Spain
Spain should have had 9 points. Croatia are a good side...but Spain had a small blip, made an unusual defensive error, missed a penalty and conceded late...the whole thing was very UnSpainlike...ageing hammer wrote:I fancy Spain, don't think Italy have enough to win it.
They are still potentially the best team in the competition, and I can't see them not winning here...

Re: Italy v Spain
Italy will grind Spain out. It's what they do.
I was amazed to hear at the weekend that Italy have faced Germany 8 times in major tournaments, and never lost.
Motivation to get to the QF there.

Brightly is an understatement. They're dominating. At some point next season, Chelsea are going to be a pain in the arse. This Italy side have his system down pat.

Re: Italy v Spain
If you don't love watching this Italy team, you can better stop watching football.
What these 11 men display, is pure class. The squad they have here, is pretty average (if you compare with other Italy generations and countries in the EC) if you look at the names, but nobody can beat this side if they play like this, nobody.
And it clearly shows that a 3-5-2 formation is the new 4-5-1. It's extremely hard to play, but if you play it like Italy & you have the right personnel do you can murder any team. On a side note: If Bilic can pull it off and let us play like this, we will be Barclays Premier League Champions.

Of all Italics players, the one I love watching the most is Chiellini. Watch him, he never puts a foot wrong
