Semi final 2: Germany v France (with Dimitri Payet)

Post by Claretdave »

Looking forward to this one, which could go either way, could be a classic or tedious, and will provide the strong favourite for the final.

Dimi v Ozil.....

West Ham v Arsenal......

Allez les Bleus! :scarfer:

France play the better football so for that reason alone I want them to win - Germany rely on height and athleticism .

It's great when you can watch and you don't care who wins

I'll be supporting Payet, as usual. Him in the final all but guarantees the Player of the Tournament victory, because it isn't going to be a Pork and Cheese player, unless they do what they did at the 2014 World Cup and cuntishly give it to under performing superstar Ronaldo, as they did for Messi.

I don't think the Germans rely on height or athleticism at all by the way TOMOS. Don't understand that claim. I'd have said France, with Giroud shoehorned in alongside Pogba, Matuidi and Kante, are much more reliant on physique.

It's just the way it comes across to me - I tried finding out some stats about the tallest squad , turns out to be Sweden - Germany win out on age - they have an average age of 26.4 , Switzerland had the youngest Squad at 26 - England 26.6 , Wales 27.4 - oldest Squad were Slovakia at 30.7 . Smallest Squad were Spain .
It only gave Tallest and Smallest .

I'd say they're the most technical team in the competition after Spain and one of the least reliant on physicality.

They can mix it up though. They'll not shirk a battle.

I know Germany have a few selection problems, but they will still put in a shift. 1-1. extra time and penalties

That ref likes the French. 2:1 France and a few dodgy calls.
