Portugal are attacking more now they're winning, than they did at 0-0. :D

I knew they'd fluke it after Croatia. At least after this abysmal tournament we can all stop oretending that International football is anything above a good standard. Absoulte poverty teams here that compared to the CL big boys.

Confucius Murphy he say, Portugal finished 3rd in the group but they weren't really a third placed team as they had chances to win games.

Turned it to ITV early on, Hoddle on this side keeps going on about "drawing free kicks" and how good a player os for cheating

Something really wrong with International football these days. A Wales v Iceland final could have shook things up!

They learned a lot from Greece in 2004 didn't they?

A dull final, befitting a pretty ordinary tournament.

They wouldn't have scored even with Payet. They threw it away, and Payet's strongest influence had been in the group stages.

Things we have learned:

1. Portugal are actually a better team without Ronaldo.

2. France, despite the talent at their disposal and home advantage, have unquestionably underachieved.

3. Umtiti is quality.

4. Portugal have unquestionably overachieved.

5. Tournament finals are almost without fail, dull affairs.

Ronaldo was still trying to grab the attention and take credit from the sidelines.

Well, as strange as it may sound: I think France would have won comfortably if Ronaldo did not get injured. France got out of their rythm and thought they had won the game when he went off.
