3rd place play off

Does anyone else thing a 3rd place play off would be a good idea? Would it gain much interest from neutrals ?

Never interested me anyway. Only one I recall was losing 2-1 (?) to Italy in WC 1990.

Nah.

I think most teams are just anxious to head home after the deflation of losing a Semi Final.

Don't need one , Wales were the 3rd best team in the competition without any doubt .

I'm sure the Germans wouldn't agree. A play off would leave no doubt.

At the very worst it would be one more game of football. And that is never a bad thing.

Nobody really cares or remembers tbh. It may affect the rankings. But again, what sensible person takes any notice of that?

The last thing I (and I´m sure the players) need. It´s no Olympics where you fight for a bronze medal. Here in Germany real football fans don´t want it, the event fans, which appear every 2 years would like to have one more "party."

Most pointless match at any tournament. You're not even playing for best loser. 3rd place? Who cares.
