Can't remember which tournament it was in now, but there was one not so many years ago and it was a about the worst snooze fest you ever saw. Ticky tacka from both sides for 90 minutes and I don't think a shot on target in the entire match. It was a merciful relief when the ref blew the final whistle.

James, I’m with you on looking forward to it. Mainly for the discovery of random new nations to support until they get unfairly knocked out by a Spain or Germany and the fact it HAS to be better than the last Euro’s.. genuinely the least I’ve ever enjoyed a major tourament.

And the Panini stickers. Always the Panini stickers (being in my 40’s means nothing)

It might win us the group. Might not.
We’ve had a touch.
You're right James, we have had luck with the draw. On paper.
Equally, we really will have no excuse if we don't get out of the group & Belgium could well beat us.
I want us to do well but I'm never confident that we will.
Every England team funnily enough have always reminded me of the West Ham mentality.
On our day, we can beat anyone, but always give the oppo's chances & more often than not, often lose to teams who we think we really should be beating.

On paper that's a stroll to the quarters.

In reality we're coming third in that group.
